Hello and welcome to our website. I'm Gary Wenner, Owner & Lead DJ. I guess you could say that I've wanted to be a DJ all my life. When I was 10 years old, I got to take a tour of a radio station. That was all I needed.
It's really no surprise that I came to own a DJ service. How I got here is a bit different. Raised by disabled parents, I became an entertainer at an early age.I spent much of my time playing records (remember those?) and taking requests from my parents and siblings. I really enjoyed playing the music and making people happy. I also liked to have fun. See where I'm going? I want to make your reception or other event as fun as it can be! On the way to owning CVE, I found myself working in broadcasting. I have over 15 years experience in the field. I am a 1997 graduate of The Ohio Center for Broadcasting. From there, I worked at WHK, WKNR, WEOL, WTAM and currently at Cleveland's NPR affiliate. (I have some examples of my on-air work at the left of the page). In broadcasting, details like name pronunciations are VERY important! You've been to a wedding where the knucklehead behind the mic butchered someone's name, right? Don't you hate that?? I take the time to get it right the first time!
I consider it an honor to be chosen for a wedding! How cool is that? It has been said that in business, you should not get personally involved. Wrong! You're getting married. I can't think of anything more personal than that. I think your DJ should get to know you. What do you like, what don't you like...how you met!! The whole wedding experience should be fun, and I enjoy it as much as you do! I have an off-beat sense of humor and I love all kinds of music. Seriously, you should see my Ipod!
When I'm not doing the DJ thing, I live in Aurora with the love of my life, Kathleen and I try to spend some time with my little granddaughter, Mikayla!
